With Spring upon us and Summer following shortly, now is the time to start-up your Flea and Tick preventative regimes. Many pet owners start their pet’s Heartworm prevention at the onset of Spring temperatures. However, with the warmer climate Oklahoma has experienced the past few years, it’s advisable to continue year round Heartworm prevention maintenance.
For Flea and Tick treatment, I personally use Pet Armor readily available at Walmart. Pet Armor consists of the exact same ingredients as the popular brand Frontline, but much cheaper. With the variety of dog sizes in my own pack, I purchase the largest dog dosage volume package available. Store the contents in a dark amber colored glass medicine bottle and measure out the recommended doses for each size of dog. Dosage charts can be found on the Net by searching Google.
